Tales of the Alchemysts Theatre is a performance company comprised of well-seasoned Seattle theatre artists and musicians committed to bringing provocative and entertaining Jewish literature and live music to those who have an interest in good storytelling and a desire to explore ideas relevant to humanity.

We are a company of four artists. We have had a history of working together presenting staged readings with live music and producing podcast performances with a national Jewish literature organization called Nextbook. With Nextbook we toured Chicago and Washington DC, and performed regularly at Seattle’s Benaroya Hall. In 2007 Nextbook began reorganizing and eventually became the now present online magazine, The Tablet. In October of 2014 I began making contact with my fellow artists to see if there was an interest in picking up where we left off, sans Nextbook. Indeed they had an interest and excitement to start working and reading together again. In January of 2016 we made the decision to expand our literary salon into an official company and thus Tales of the Alchemysts Theatre was born.

Our theatre format consists of dramatic staged readings interwoven with livemusic followed by audience Q & A.
