Tacoma Ocean Fest is a Washington state nonprofit that runs a free festival on Tacoma’s waterfront for World Ocean Day weekend, plus a month of June ocean events including a Lantern Paddle for Species, Beach Cleanup, Tacoma Ocean Film Fest, marine biologist beachwalks, stream cleanups and more. We also hold the Grit City Costume Paddle in October, and the Youth Story Contest Feb-April; and bring light art to the Tacoma Light Trail every January.
Our Mission: Lifting up diverse voices, Tacoma Ocean Fest works to bring the
community together through
arts, sciences and
water fun to
celebrate the ocean,
learn about its threats and get inspired to
protect it.
