Art Zone with Nancy Guppy, a half-hour television and web series produced through Seattle Channel 21, exists to feature and promote the art and artists of the Pacific Northwest. http://www.seattlechannel.org/artzone/

Friends of Art Zone, formed in 2013, is a fund-raising component of the show that exists for the solo purpose of expanding arts coverage by commissioning arts content beyond what is possible under the confines of the Seattle Channel budget.

The Seattle Channel cannot raise additional funds for Art Zone with Nancy Guppy programming, thus the need for creating a separate entity,

Art Zone with Nancy Guppy serves an established audience within the Pacific Northwest. The show's online presence on the Seattle Channel website gives artists and arts organizations free access to audiences around the world as well as the ability to share the highly produced segments and stories on their own information platforms.   

Nancy Guppy and Sheila Mullen, creators of Art Zone with Nancy Guppy, are independent contractors for the Seattle Channel.
