The Seattle Art Book Fair is a festival that celebrates independent publishing, book design, and books-as-art. We will bring together a group of 70–75 exhibitors, made up of local, national, and international designers, presses, small creative publishers, and artists working in independent and experimental publishing. Admission to the Seattle Art Book Fair will be free, to ensure accessibility to our area’s diverse community.
To make the first year of our in person Fair a success—one that is reflective of our community—we need your help. Our vision of an inclusive and successful Art Book Fair includes: Discounting our tabling fees for low-income artists and waiving the fees for some art book fair exhibitors who have been historically underrepresented in the arts in our region; Paying our speakers and workshop facilitators (based on a Floor W.A.G.E calculation); And providing travel grants, to ensure that national and international exhibitors can attend.
This year, for the first time ever, the Seattle Art Book Fair is participating in Giving Tuesday, and we are asking for your support to make this inaugural Seattle Art Book Fair an overwhelming success.
We have an overall Giving Tuesday goal of $2500, and a mission to get the word out about the Seattle Art Book Fair. My personal goal for this Giving Tuesday is $500. Will you help me? I will personally match 1:1 the first $200 to my campaign!
