Rajasthani Caravan’s authentic Rajasthani Folk Music & Dance Show is high octane and spiced with mirchi! We aim to promote, preserve, and share Rajasthani culture. Performances will include various elements of the Rajasthani arts: colorful costumes, spinning dance of the snake-charmer, devotional singing, unusual instruments, story-telling, and ancient love songs.

Dances include the famous Rajputi Ghoomar, Kalbelia Snake Charmers, Devotional Terah Taal of the Kamaads, Chari Dance of the Gujjars, Bhawai Dance with 7 Balanced Pots, and more!

Rajasthani Caravan is directed by Katrina Ji, a Seattle native and Member of the International Dance Council, CID - UNESCO. She is also on the 4Culture Touring Artists Roster. She is the first foreigner outside of India to master all of the authentic Rajasthani Folk Dances. Aside for her passion for dance, she is equally passionate about her Humanitarian work in supporting the Folk Artists of Rajasthan, India. She has assisted in funding over 14 surgeries during the Pandemic along with sourcing food packets through Go Dharmic. In addition, she came to the aid of the Kalbelia who are living deep within the Thar Desert by providing over 150 men, women & children coats, blankets, caps and socks during the winter. Plus she has assisted in raising funds to secure land for a Kalbelia village so they would no longer be displaced from where they were staying. Lastly, she has raised money to help a family build a home after their handmade hut crumbled to the ground.
We are continuing the transmission of folk stories and tribal spirituality through the aural traditions of Rajasthani Folk Music. These Manganiyars are indigenous Folk Musicians who live in villages in the Thar Desert of Rajasthan, India. All they know is music.
