Life On Music envisions a future where no child, family, or community member is denied music therapy because of inability to pay. The Equity Scholarship off-sets costs of music lessons, music therapy, and classes for families who cannot afford the out-of-pocket costs. Priority is given to traditionally underserved families and communities including those living with a disability and those who identify as LGBTQ+, BIPOC, and/or neurodivergent.

Our approach is grounded in the understanding of music's ability to engage multiple areas of the brain simultaneously and serves as the foundation for our work. This unique quality of music allows our music therapy programs to offer a distinct opportunity for learning essential life skills. Through music therapy, we aim to reduce symptoms of depression, anxiety, and stress, enhance attention, memory, and executive function, and facilitate development in motor skills, speech, social interaction, emotional regulation, and impulse control.
