Welcome to our newest creative explosion – JumpstART! EnJoy is curating, creating and producing 4 days of FREE TO THE PUBLIC street performance in August of 2025 in the downtown core of Seattle WA.
It’s our bold new effort to bring live art directly to the people – no tickets, no barriers, just joy and connection. What is JumpstART?JumpstART! will bring together over 80 performing artists for 4 days of free, “pop-up” events in different locations throughout downtown.
Each of the 4 days will focus on a different art form - or game:
The Line-Up of ArtWednesday August 6th at Pier 62, 1-4pm: is an interactive Soccer/Dance GAME, pitting 2 teams (“progress” and “the planet”) against each other with 10 players, 2 referees and a giant earth ball globe. Who will win in this audience-influenced game, complete with half time performances and food trucks?
Thursday August 7th at Occidental Square Park, 3-7pm: A Downtown DANCE Celebration.
Performances from a diverse array of styles and cultures, culminating in a public dance party backed by a big band orchestra.
Friday August 8th at The Harbor Steps, 4-8pm,: MUSIC in Motion.
Everything from string quartets to an all-female Marching band, this is a sonic journey across genres, generations, and grooves—all on the city’s iconic steps.
Sunday August 10th Salish Steps at Overlook Park, 4-7pm: CIRCUS Extravaganza.
Some of the region’s most celebrated circus artists converge in an outdoor spectacle of wonder, wit, and wow.
Our current funding: We are almost there! This project is funded in part by:
-a Hope Corps grant to
pay the artistsfrom the Mayor’s Office, of just over $40,000
- -a King Country Sustained Support grant to cover our time and efforts as Producers, through 4Culture,
- -in-kind support from the Downtown Seattle Association, Friends of the Waterfront and The Harbor Steps.
This funding will cover ALL of our artist fees and Enjoy’s overhead, but there are some constraints in the use of that funding that require additional funds for sound in 4 locations, security for all four sites, stage management, and publicity.
What is left to raise funding for:
We still need to raise $20,000:
-Sound - $9,000 (so people can hear the art)
- -Security - $3000 (so everyone feels safe)
- -Stage Management - $2500 (so the shows run smoothly)
- -Publicity - $2500 (so people know about and show up for this AWESOME FREE ART)
Why This MattersAt a time when every segment of our community is being hit with cuts of federal funding, we are stepping up to provide
radically accessible performance – for
everyone, to come out and watch, play, dance and laugh with their friends and families.
And as we said, we can't do this without you.
